Apple released first developer beta of iOS 11.4
At the end of last month, Apple officially pushed iOS 11.3, tvOS 11.3 and watchOS 4.3 system updates. However, a few days after the official release of the official release, in the early morning of April 3rd, Apple started testing the next version of the operating system for the iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, and Apple TV. Currently, the first beta test version for developers providing iOS 11.4, tvOS 11.4 and watchOS 4.3.1 has been released.
If you are a developer or have a developer account, the first iOS 11.4 beta developer preview system is now available for downloading the full firmware package through the Apple Developer Center. Of course, devices that are already in the developer beta state can also be updated via OTA. As for the iOS 11.4 beta public beta version, it is usually provided a few days after the developer preview release, the fastest one day apart.
In iOS 11.4, developers will be able to use ClassKit to easily update their own apps to make full use of the class app, for example, allowing their app to easily assign various activities and check student progress.
New features of iOS 11.4 beta 1 include:
- Support for the new ClassKit framework;
- -iCloud Cloud Information Feature Regression;
- -HomePod Stereo Pairing is set to return, but a HomePod Beta system update is still required and has not been released yet;
- AirPlay 2 returns over the air.
At the same time, “AirPlay 2” may also be re-emerging, because Apple removed it in the official version of iOS 11.3, and to provide specific reasons. In the original iOS 11.3 beta, Apple tested three developer versions and removed them, but it never appeared again. The other feature that may also appear on iOS 11.4 is iCloud Messages.
Users who have completed the iOS 11.4 Developer Preview update early in the morning pointed out that iOS 11.4 beta confirmed that it includes the “AirPlay 2” function, while Apple TV was again listed in the “home app”, and HomePod also offers stereo options, etc. Wait. What update is provided by the first developer preview version of iOS 11.4? It is believed that more users will be announced in the first half of the day.
The first developer preview version of iOS 11.4 is 15F5037c. Although the configuration file can be used for direct upgrade, the non-beta version is not recommended for upgrading. At least the equipment used in everyday use should not be used to do so because it is really possible to lose data.
