LMDE 3 “Cindy” Cinnamon – BETA Releases

The LMDE 3 “Cindy” Cinnamon Beta has been released, and LMDE is Linux Mint Debian Edition. In addition to bug fixes and security fixes, the Debian base pack remains the same, but Mint and desktop components are updated continuously. When ready, the newly developed features will go directly to LMDE.

The release notes provide valuable information about known issues, as well as explanations, workarounds, and solutions. To read the release notes, check out here.

Known issues include the root account that is locked by default, sound and microphone issues, problems with VLC for DVD playback, and problems with KDE applications.
