Microsoft adds automatically adjusting brightness feature in Windows 10
Microsoft’s earlier release of Windows 10 Preview Build 17704 is now available for users of the quick preview and jump preview channels. Among them, non-admin installation of fonts and video auto-adjustment of brightness are new features of this update. It also includes several other project improvements and fixes.
This test version belongs to the branch version of the updated version of Windows 10 Version 1809. It expects that the official version would be released before and after October this year.
Brightness automatically adjusts when watching the video:
This function requires light sensors to sense the light in the environment, so it is estimated that only some notebooks and tablets support this function.
The user can turn this feature on in the video playback menu of the application in Windows 10 Settings. The function name is called brightness-based adjustment video.
After turning on, regularly, the system automatically adjusts the brightness of the video so that the user can watch when the video is viewed outdoors when the ambient light is high.
It should emphasise that the brightness adjustment here is only useful when the video is playing, the adjusted brightness in the played video does not affect the brightness of the system.
