Spotify application causes Windows 10 System Restore Feature error
According to Softpedia reports, many users running Windows 10 Fall Idea Updater (version 1709) who have Spotify apps installed through the Microsoft Store complained that their system experienced a rather bizarre failure – Windows Restore (system recovery) Function actually broken! According to the posts posted on the Microsoft Community Forum, as early as November last year, some people have encountered this problem.
As for whether this pan in the Spotify deduction or blamed on the cumulative update of Windows 10 itself, for the moment is not known.
The text pops up when an error message appears – “System Restore did not complete successfully. Your computer’s system files and settings were not changed” the error message reads, in addition to an error code that points to the Spotify app as the culprit.
Unfortunately, although Microsoft engineers have long been involved in the discussion and recommended a variety of workarounds, still failed to rescue this feature (even unable to restore the system in safe mode).
In other words, due to this inexplicable reason, Windows 10 system recovery completely paralyzed! The only solution, perhaps, is to completely remove the Spotify app from the Microsoft Store.
Although Spotify offers a web version, this is a shady prospect for the Unified Windows Application (UWP). It is reported that Microsoft is currently trying to fix this problem.
