Apple released iOS 12 second Public beta
One week after the first release, Apple pushed the iOS 12 Public beta 2 system update to beta users early this morning. Beta users who have participated in the Apple Beta software program can upgrade through OTA after installing the configuration file. New features in the new iOS 12 beta include:
The map app has been completely redesigned with a new Apple design map engine. Although only available in the San Francisco Bay Area, the fall will extend to the northern part of California, and will gradually increase in the rest of the US in late 2018 and early 2019.
The revised map app can more accurately display vegetation, ponds, buildings, walking trails and other map elements, and will also improve traffic, try road conditions, construction conditions and more.
The update also includes a new graphical interface for the iPad version of the voice memo; long press to clear all notifications from the iPad.
In the next two months, Apple will launch iOS 12 developer beta and public beta system updates to test different features, fix various bugs, and then officially release the next-generation iPhone in the fall.
tvOS 12 Public beta 2 has also been released.
