Fedora 28 Enters Final Freeze Stage, Official Release Next Month
The upcoming Fedora 28 Linux distribution is currently in the “final freeze” phase and will be released in the next few weeks.
Fedora is in the Final Freeze state meaning that only packages containing bugs marked as blocker or freeze are fixed and will be marked as “stable” and included in the Final version. All other packages will remain in the ‘update-test’ state until the final version is passed, at which point the final frozen state will be released and the software package can be moved to the ‘update’ repository. The pending updates will be released before the final version is released. Was pushed.
Fedora developer Mohan Boddu posted a confirmation that Fedora 28’s final freeze status has officially taken effect. They hope to officially release Fedora 28 final on May 1, but if the original release date of their plan is delayed due to a blocker bug, the release date may be postponed to May 8. In general, Fedora 28 will bring better updates.
