Fedora calls to test the Fedora’s LXQt
Fedora, a popular Linux distribution for developers, has recently encountered a minor problem – if the new packager does not enhance support for maintaining a lightweight Qt desktop environment, Fedora’s LXQt desktop is at risk of being abandoned.
In fact, Fedora’s LXQt is now obsolete and requires some tweaking to better integrate into the Fedora ecosystem (some modifications to the theme and package). But the current Fedora LXQt packager has left, although another Fedora packager has stepped up to maintain LXQt, he also has his university tasks to continue.
So now it seems that no one can take the lead in maintaining the LXQt desktop package — or Fedora LXQt desktop ISO spin to continue to evolve. The current maintainer has announced his resignation. So far, one person has expressed interest in helping but is not the official Fedora package maintainer. So it seems that Fedora LXQt desktop support may be in danger of being abandoned.
