• Be guided by your level. If you choose a movie at a high level, it becomes essential, and there will be a lot of unfamiliar words. In such cases, please do not panic. It does not mean that you cannot understand the language by ear. Just choose a more straightforward movie. For beginners, you can watch cartoons for children. There are more powerful and precise languages – the very thing to begin to learn English.
• Try to watch your favorite movies in the original. Many people have a favorite film that they remember word for word. Use this. These movies are much easier to watch in their original language because you already know them, and you only have to listen to your favorite characters’ lines. And with a high level, you can even find mistakes in the Ukrainian voice 
• Prepare a good dictionary. You will often have to look up the words in the dictionary and translate them to understand the situation entirely. It is more likely that you will find the correct translation, but it is also a chance to learn more meanings of words you already know. Using the translator is no longer used for intermediate and advanced levels (Intermediate, Upper-Intermediate, Advanced).
• Be prepared to pause a lot. And how! And who will recognize the words? Especially if you are a beginner, you often have to look at the dictionary to understand the meaning of this or that speech. This is normal, and you may notice definite progress in English in the second film. Indeed, we recommend you watch your favorite movies. Later you will have to help because the translation is already in your head.
