This statement is in accordance with the work that Kaspersky plans to complete two months ago. The company stated: “We are relocating a good part of our infrastructure to Zurich, Switzerland, including the “software assembly line” and servers that store and process Kaspersky Security Network data, and creating our very first Transparency Center.”
Kaspersky aims to migrate its software product lines to Switzerland by the end of this year, and by the end of 2019, user data will be transferred to Switzerland servers. Kaspersky said that this move is helping to increase trust in the company. In Kaspersky’s transparent center, trusted partners and government stakeholders will have access to source code and data.
The company said that everything will be supervised by a third party, but did not disclose any specific information about third parties. Kaspersky stated that customer data from the United States, Europe, Japan, South Korea, Singapore and Australia will be stored and processed in Switzerland in the future.
