Linux Mint 19 Beta is coming soon
Linux Mint revealed on the blog that the beta version of Linux Mint 19 will be released on June 4th, US time, while the three versions of Linux Mint 19 (Cinnamon, MATE, Xfce) are still in the test phase, and the discovered bugs have been repaired.
The Beta phase of Linux Mint 19 is longer than usual and plans to release a stable version by the end of June. Officially stated that a lot of code has been ported to python3, gksu has been removed and replaced by pkexec, MATE now supports HiDPI automatically and uses a brand new package library, the theme engine in GTK 3.22 is also in GTK 3.18 The theme engine is very different. I believe this is a worthwhile version.
In addition, Linux Mint 19 “Tara” will switch to using Mint-Y as the default system theme and icon set, and Clement Lefebvre promises that this version will not collect any of your personal or system data asUbuntu does.
