One of the many new features introduced in the Cinnamon version of Linux Mint 19 “Tara” is the ability to adjust the maximum volume. In simple terms, it allows users to set more than 100% of the volume. Users can experience this new setting in Cinnamon’s Sound panel, allowing the maximum volume to increase by up to 150%.
Clement Lefebvre wrote in the announcement: “In the upcoming version of Cinnamon, you’ll be able to define the maximum sound output volume. In the past, the applet and the multimedia keys allowed you to set the sound volume between 0 and 100%, and you could open the sound settings to get access to amplification and set the volume all the way to 150%.”
Upgrading XApps are also available on the upcoming Linux Mint 19 “Tara” system, where the Xreader document viewer is better able to support PDF documents, remove annotations, support saving to EPUB document formats, and be able to adjust thumbnails size of.
