Microsoft Edge will enable you to control whether media can play automatically
Microsoft revealed on the blog this week that the next beta of Windows 10 will begin to prevent web pages from playing automatically.
Google Chrome 66 launched in April of this year has enabled the user-controlled Autoplay policy. This policy allows only silenced or unvoiced media files to be automatically played, or played when the user browses the page and clicks on a specific location. To prevent users from being scared by unexpected sounds.
Microsoft revealed this feature when it released the beta version of Windows 10 (Build 17692) on Thursday, pointing out that this version of Microsoft Edge added a setting that allows users to control the media autoplay feature of the web page.
Interestingly, Microsoft had a slight flaw and quickly crossed out the feature from the published blog post, stating that this feature would only appear in the beta version of Windows released a few weeks later.
