Microsoft submits patent for the new NFC standard on Windows 10 devices
Microsoft recently filed a patent that gives the company the right to use the new Near Field Communication (NFC) standard on its Surface Surface-branded Windows 10 device. This technology is likely to be implemented on the upcoming Microsoft Ultimate Mobile and Surface PCs. In the patent, Microsoft interprets Near Field Communication (NFC) as a communication technology that allows two devices to wirelessly transmit data over a small area.
Published January 30, 2018, entitled “MICROSOFT SECURE NEAR FIELD COMMUNICATIONS“, describes in detail a new NFC-like technology that generates an access code before transmitting data to ensure transmission security. Microsoft Collapsible Windows 10 devices are likely to include Secure Near Field Communication (SNFC) technology. It is noteworthy that Microsoft recently also applied for a new patented folding device patent, the hinge and free to stop the stability of the technology.
These patents are all about mobile devices with dual screens and innovative hinges that not only allow for one form factor. The patent suggests that a foldable phone may be another attempt by Microsoft in the smartphone market.
