Windows 10 Life Cycle Details
When a Windows product first faces the public, the cycle of its life cycle begins, and when Microsoft stops product support, it indicates the end of the product lifecycle.
In the Windows 10 series, feature updates are released via the semi-annual channel (SAC), which is managed under the new Modern Lifecycle Policy. This new strategy means that the Microsoft Windows operating system is provided as a service (WaaS, Windows as a Service). Microsoft will constantly update the service and enhance product support and will spare no effort to improve and sublimate the product.
As long as your current Windows 10 uses a genuine license, you can get support. After Microsoft’s initial public release of a version of Windows 10, it will retain at least 18 months of functional updates. During this time, you can continue to receive official circumvent updates to ensure that the device is safely updated and installed. In general, you must upgrade to a newer version at the end of the current Windows 10 lifecycle to continue with official update support.
In addition, if you are using the Windows 10 Long-Term Servicing Branch (LTSB) version, its life cycle will be very different. If you don’t want to perform a feature update, Windows 10 LTSB is a good choice, and its support cycle is as long as 10 years.
