For Pixel and Nexus devices, a total of 43 high-risk vulnerabilities were fixed in the recently released March 2018 Android Security Patch involving multiple components such as Multimedia Framework, Kernel, NVIDIA, and Qualcomm. Google said: “Among the most serious of these issues is a vulnerability in the multimedia framework that uses well-crafted files to remotely execute arbitrary code that contains privileged processes.”

All of the currently supported states of Pixel and Nexus became the first devices to receive the March 2018 Android Security Patch. The Pixel, Pixel XL, Pixel 2, Pixel 2 XL, Pixel C, Nexus 6P, and Nexus 5X devices running the latest Android 8.1 Oreo mobile system obtain this patch via Over-the-Air (OTA) and users can access this patch via Google Website download factory image.
