Anonymous hacktivist collective hacked Nestlè and leaks massive data
The popular Anonymous hacktivist collective recently invaded the international beverage giant Nestlè, and the leaked data included Nestlè customers, various emails and passwords, and payment information. The attack was an obvious political move, as Nestlé had previously issued a statement that the company would not withdraw from the Russian market and would continue to offer products. During this period of time, Anonymous has launched continuous attacks on Russian government websites and network infrastructure, but it is thought that Anonymous will also attack Nestlé.
Anonymous did not provide all the data stolen from Nestlé, but the published data sample shows that Anonymous stole the database of Nestlé’s servers. The database contains the order records of Nestlé corporate customers, the account numbers and hashed passwords of some corporate customers, and order payment records.
Among them, the order record contains the complete company name, contact information, detailed address, purchase content, and amount, and there are many familiar multinational companies. The passwords are hashed and salted, not plaintext, and should not have much impact on Nestlé customers.
At present, many western companies have announced to withdraw the Russian market, but Nestlé has decided to continue to operate in Russia
Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal spoke with Nestle CEO Mark Schneider “about the side effect of remaining in Russian market.”
“Unfortunately, he is deafeningly deafeningly deafeningly” Shmyhal stated. “Paying taxes to the budget of a terrorist country means killing defenseless children & mothers. I hope Nestle changes its mind soon.”
