Apple Confirmed that All Mac and iOS Devices Are Affected by Chip Vulnerability
According to foreign media reports, local time on Thursday, Apple confirmed that all Mac and iOS devices have been affected by Meltdown and Specter CPU loopholes. The company wrote in the official blog: “All Mac systems and iOS devices are affected, but there is no impact on the customer’s attack.”
Apple said unless a malware is installed on a user’s Mac or iOS device that the attack will not happen, they advise users to download the software only from trusted sources such as the App Store.
Yesterday, several tech giants, including Google, Microsoft, Amazon, and Mozilla, made a statement about the large-scale chip loophole this time around, and it is generally believed that Apple, which is also affected by Intel chips, has not.
