In a response to recent allegations made by the ransomware group “Space Bears,” Atos, a global leader in digital transformation and a European number one in cybersecurity, has categorically denied any compromise to its infrastructure or proprietary data. The Group, which operates with approximately 82,000 employees and an annual revenue of €10 billion, emphasized that its systems remain secure and uncompromised.
On December 28, 2024, Space Bears claimed to have infiltrated an Atos database, suggesting that sensitive data had been exposed. However, Atos has clarified that the compromised infrastructure in question is external, unconnected to Atos, and not managed or secured by the company. “No infrastructure managed by Atos was breached, no source code accessed, and no Atos IP or Atos proprietary data exposed,” the company stated in a press release.
Atos’ investigation revealed that the affected data merely mentioned the company’s name but originated from an external third-party infrastructure. Atos’ robust cybersecurity framework ensured that its critical assets remained unaffected despite these external vulnerabilities.
With over 6,500 specialized cybersecurity experts and 17 next-generation Security Operations Centers (SOCs) operating 24/7, Atos is at the forefront of ensuring a safe digital environment for its clients worldwide. The company’s SOCs leverage advanced technologies and a proactive approach to mitigate risks, detect threats, and respond to incidents in real-time.
