Chrome OS adds App shortcuts for Android apps
François Beaufort, Google’s Chromium technology evangelist, today shared the new features of the upcoming Chromebook with Google+, which is better compatible with Android apps. If the Chromebook you have is supporting Android apps, this feature should make you happy. This feature is called an application shortcut, which makes it easier for users to interact with an already installed Android app and quickly trigger the use.
This new feature will deploy to the upcoming Chrome OS stable release, and interested users can also get started with the Chrome OS developer channel. After the user enters the developer channel, the user can activate it via the chrome://flags/#enable-touchable-app-context-menu experimental property tag.
After the function is activated, the user can right-click the Android application and fix it on the taskbar, which can make the Chromebook more efficient for users in the home, office, school and other environments.
