Debian 11.2 released: fix over 40 security vulnerabilities including log4j flaws

Debian 11.2

The Debian project team recently pushed the Debian 11.2 update to the Debian stable channel. This version is not a major version update but contains multiple security updates and bug fixes. The much-watched log4j (CVE-2021-44228, CVE-2020-9488, CVE-2021-45046) vulnerability has also been fixed in this version.

Users who use the graphical system can go to the update tool to check for updates, and users who use the non-interface version can use sudo apt update && sudo apt full upgrade command to incrementally install all updates.

Some popular software applications have been updated, including security updates using the Firefox-ESR extended support version, WordPress security updates, Apache2 security updates, Flatpak updates, LibreOffice, FFmpeg, and Samba updates. In addition, Linux Kernel is currently updated to version 5.10.83-rt58.

The vim editor has also been updated to fix security vulnerabilities such as CVE-2021-3770, CVE-2021-3778, and CVE-2021-3796. Users of Debian, please upgrade to the Debian 11.2 version as soon as possible.
