Recently, Google search users on Android found that they encountered a bug. When the query “the1975..com”, the app actually showed the latest personal information. The company explained that this strange phenomenon was caused by a “language detection bug“. Earlier this week, a Reddit user was first exposed to this problem when he was a query that was enabled directly from the Google Pixel Launcher’s search bar.
Subsequently, other brands of Android device users, such as OnePlus, Samsung, LG, and Huawei, also reported the same problem. Others pointed out that when the “vizela viagens” is entered in the search bar, this bug is also triggered.
For this matter, a Google representative apologized and said: “We are aware of a language detection bug in the Google Search app for Android which erroneously interpreted certain phrases as a request to view recent text messages. A fix for this bug has been implemented and will roll out over the next few days.”
Fortunately, Google has fixed this bug and will push patches in the next few days.
