Google sent an email to G Suite customers telling them that the company had been developing a new Gmail web interface. In addition to the new design, the company also lists some new features. Customers can expect to access Google Calendar directly from the Gmail interface. Outlook customers may like this feature.
Customers can pause emails to appear in the inbox again after hours or days. If customers can’t respond to specific emails yet, this is a good way to clean up your inbox. If a customer uses Gmail on an iPhone or Android phone, a smart reply may already be in use. Responses generated by these algorithms will also be available on the web version of Gmail.com.
Finally, Google is developing a new way to store user email on a computer for offline access. As the company is phasing out Chrome apps, Google will now use standard web technologies to let users’ browsers store data.
Google has not yet shared a screenshot of the new design. Gmail’s web interface has not changed for years, but users may expect a new interface that follows the Google material design language. Now, a Google employee who has witnessed a look uses a newly designed Gmail web page on the bus. According to the eyewitness, it is a hybrid of Gmail and Inbox. The left column is more like inbox.google.com On the right is a larger version of Gmail. The color in the background has a blue gradient. Each folder on the left has an icon that is categorized using separators.
