Inside TeraLeak: Exploring Thousands of Terabytes of Apple’s Hidden iOS Prototypes
Data collected from the servers of Apple TestFlight service between 2012 and 2015 has been leaked online. The breach, which has been dubbed “TeraLeak” due to its enormous scale, has provided access to tens of thousands of iOS applications and games.
Apple TestFlight is a service that enables iOS developers to distribute beta versions of their applications to testers before their official release in the App Store. Files from Apple’s servers were discovered in archives through the Wayback Machine and then anonymously distributed on social network X.

The leak includes files of prototypes and beta versions of applications and games released through TestFlight, including several unpublished Angry Birds games. Further scrutiny of the data is expected to reveal more information about unreleased games. There is also hope that people will be able to find applications that have been removed from the App Store and are no longer available for download.
