According to alphr, Frank Dickman, from New Mexico, sued Microsoft and Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella last week for allegedly Microsoft’s unauthorized upgrade of Windows 7 on his Asus 54L laptop to Windows 10, rendering the computer completely unusable and requiring Microsoft Recover Windows 7 or pay him $600 million.

Dickman said his Asus 54L laptop comes with an OEM version of Windows 7 that will not work immediately when the computer is upgraded to Windows 10, and the upgrade removes Windows 7 from the computer. In his opinion, the only sensible remedy is that Microsoft supplies OEM version of Windows on the Web to allow users to download the pre-installed key from the computer, but Microsoft or Nadella did not provide this feature.

It is reported that this is not Microsoft’s first Windows 10 upgrade policy was accused of another 2016 Windows 7 user Teri Goldstein due to upgrade to Windows 10 system instability after the court received Microsoft’s $10,000 compensation gold. March 2017 Several Windows 7 users filed a class action lawsuit against Microsoft for similar reasons.
