Microsoft announced the Microsoft 365 service for the U.S. government. This productivity suite includes Office 365, Enterprise Mobility + Security (EMS), and Windows 10 Enterprise. This cooperation focuses on resolving the U.S. government’s need for mobility and modern office work. Microsoft will provide a complete set of tools and solutions and will make reference to the Modern Government Technology Act to change the obsolete infrastructure with potential safety issues.

According to the company, proactive security measures can help reduce the time and pressure on the U.S. government, thereby increasing efficiency and improving office efficiency in the context of better protecting citizens’ data. Microsoft provides three environments for U.S. government agencies, all of which comply with the standards established by the relevant U.S. regulations.

  • Government Community Cloud (GCC) is built to serve civilian government agencies at the state, local, and federal level.
  • GCC High is built to serve government customers in highly sensitive situations and the commercial organizations that do business with those entities, like air and defense contractors.
  • DoD Cloud is specifically for Department of Defense—not just the military, but also for agencies that sit within the armed forces.
