NVIDIA uses artificial intelligence to reduce image noise
Research teams at the NVIDIA Institute and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology are using artificial intelligence to reduce noise from photos to improve the clarity of the pictures.
Although it is now possible to fix noise on photos with some software, artificial intelligence technology makes it easier to fix pictures.
A typical example is that photos were taken at sunset or when there is insufficient light may be blurry, and the colors are not as beautiful as during the day.
The artificial intelligence technology of NVIDIA and MIT will reduce the noise of photos and increase the brightness of specific areas and then the clarity of the images will be significantly improved.
Similar technology is a neural network jointly researched by Intel and the University of Illinois, which can add detail to the photos at night.
Of course, the time and hardware resources required for this processing technology are quite amazing, even if ordinary photos take hours to repair.
In the future, with the vast improvement of network and hardware technology, it may be possible to apply such technology to the night vision device to process images in real time for night observation.
