Security experts found the latest JenX botnet that hijack vulnerable IoT devices
Recently, Radware, a security research firm, discovered a new botnet, JenX designed to hijack vulnerable IoT devices as broilers worldwide. Interestingly, security companies found JenX behind a program called San Calvicie Hackers team, while the hacker team’s server control host for distributed denial-of-service DDoS is located in Seychelles in East Africa. In addition to performing DDoS attacks, their control console was also used as the hosting server for the R-Star classic game “Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.”
Botnets can be traced back to San Calvicie’s official website and the team found that these hosts are offering a hosting service for the R-Star game “Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas”, where players can create Mods and ask other players Join the PW game. At the same time, these hosts also provide defense against DDoS attacks, priced at $ 16 a month.
At the same time, these hackers also provide on-demand distributed denial of service attacks DDoS, 20 US dollars each. Soon the website to promote this service, “God wrath will pound you request attack IP.” These organizations were the first to provide 100Gbps DDoS attack services, and after they set up the JenX botnet, attack traffic was upgraded directly to 300Gbps. Experts are not sure how many hijacked IoT devices.
