SuperSU developer announces to stop developing ROOT Applications
For users who are in early contact with Android phones, ROOT may be the first thing users do to get the phone. ROOT can modify some of the rights of Android phones to achieve more functions, so it is loved by many Android users. Among them, ROOT is best known for SuperSU, but the software developer Chainfire recently announced on the Google+ account that all his ROOT applications will no longer be maintained or updated.
Again I would like to thank everyone who has supported me and my developments over the years! I’ve met great people and made good friends, some of which I’m now actively working with on other projects, even.
But at the moment I’m not using root on my main Android devices for anything other than development, which turns it into a circular reference for me. As for regular Android, I have not been particularly enamoured with the direction it has been going in either.
But just because I’m not enthusiastic about working on these things now doesn’t mean a new idea or project can’t come along to change that at any time.
But SuperSU will continue to be developed and it will be maintained by another team.
In addition to SuperSU, Chainfire also developed well-known APPs such as CF Auto Root, Suhide, 500 Firepaper, and DSLR Controller.
With the optimization and improvement of Android systems by various mobile phone manufacturers, the demand for ROOT has become less and less, and many ROOT and Flash software have begun to stop updating. This also reflects that the practicality of mobile phone systems has been improved.
