Warning: Cumulative Update KB4103721 for Windows 10 April 2018 Update cause bricks PCs
In the early hours of GMT time, Microsoft pushed cumulative upgrade patch KB4103721 for Windows 10 April 2018 Update. After installing this patch, your Windows 10 system had already been upgraded to Build 17134.48. This update fixes some issues and bugs while strengthening security.
However, according to Softpedia, in Reddit and the Microsoft community, there have been some problems with the first reboot after the installation failed. A user on Reddit said “The update is bricking my computer. After the update (KB4103721) download and installs, after restarting my computer will hang on a black screen and do nothing. The only way to fix it is to restore my PC to a previous restore point, where the PC will boot up normally again. Automatic Updates then installed the update again and the issue returned. After a restore point, my PC booted again.”
However, on the press release, Microsoft has not confirmed the above-mentioned bug.
A troubled Microsoft netizen StephenPhillipsZY said that he used the media creation tool (Windows 10 Media Creation Tool) to deploy the USB Win10 boot disk, and then went into safe mode and uninstalled the patch to solve the problem. If you are interested, you can Refer to his instructional video.
