Windows 10 April Update Cause an error on Intel SSDs
Windows 10 April 2018 update (Version 1803) has been released and will start the push to users tonight, but as with any previous update, there will inevitably be some bug at the beginning.
Microsoft confirmed that on some computers based on Intel SSDs, installing the Windows 10 April update will cause the UEFI BIOS to restart or crash repeatedly.
Microsoft claims that this is due to compatibility issues. Currently, it has been basically identified, but there is no solution. Therefore, the Windows April 10 Update of the specific Intel SSD system is temporarily blocked.
If you have upgraded and encountered this problem, the only release is to roll back to the old version of Version 1709 (The Autumn Creatives Update).
However, Microsoft has not announced which specific models of Intel SSD have this problem, so the best use of Intel SSDs should not be upgraded.
Currently, Microsoft is working on a solution that will push patches through Windows Update, but there is no timetable.
