Ddos The Debian distribution team has released the latest information on the upcoming Debian 10 “Buster”.
The Debian distribution team currently plans to begin a transition to a frozen state on January 12, 2019, and remain in a Soft Freeze state on February 12, 2019, and finally complete a full freeze around March 12, 2019. According to reports, the official release of Debian 10.0 “Buster” will be around the middle of next year.
In addition, for Debian 11 “Bullseye”, they hope to introduce more automated QA tests through continuous integration, automated packaging tests, etc. Debian 11.0 may be released in 2021 based on past release times.
The code for Debian 12 has also been identified and is named “Bookworm”. Obviously, it will take a few more years to see Debian 11, not to mention Debian 12: it is very likely that we will see this Debian update premiere at the end of 2023 unless there is a change before release. During the Release Team sprint in Cambridge, it was decided that Debian 12
will be codenamed “bookworm”.
