This March, Microsoft announced that its Copilot feature would be coming to the Xbox platform, enabling players to enhance their gaming experience with AI-powered assistance. The company has now begun beta testing a digital assistant service titled βCopilot for Gaming.β
Initially, βCopilot for Gamingβ will support Android and iOS devices, with plans to integrate it into the Windows PC Game Bar in the near future. Eventually, it will also be made available within the Xbox App, offering a comprehensive suite of features.
Once installed on Android or iOS, the device screen transforms into a supplementary interface for Xbox games. Leveraging AI inference, βCopilot for Gamingβ intelligently interprets gameplay and provides real-time support β offering contextual tips, strategic guidance, and even assisting with downloading and launching titles.
The preview version of βCopilot for Gamingβ is currently available with an English-language interface and is limited to select regions, including the United States, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and Singapore. Access is restricted to users aged 18 and above. Microsoft has also expressed intentions to expand testing to additional regions across the globe.
