Google Announces Collaboration with Unity Engine Team
Unity posted a blog post today, announcing a strategic partnership with the Google to jointly build development tools and services that will help developers create online games. This alliance will first focus on developing an instant multiplayer gaming experience. Developers can integrate Unity engine technology on Google Cloud to quickly build and tune connected games.
Google said it would provide developers with a global network of resources, allowing developers to have fast access, adjust the size of game servers, and store terabytes of storage nodes to store substantial file-size 3D content.
Besides, Google and Unity are collaborating to develop an open source project that aims to allow players to connect to a multiplayer online game. This project will launch in summer. Unity is moving its core infrastructure to the Google Cloud service.
