Since last year, Microsoft has begun leveraging artificial intelligence to help users more swiftly discover suitable job opportunities. Now, it has once again updated LinkedIn, introducing a suite of AI-powered job-seeking features.
Among these enhancements is a newly designed, AI-driven search tool that departs from traditional keyword-matching methods. Instead, it promises a deeper comprehension of job postings, allowing users to search more intuitively using natural language to find roles that align with their aspirations.
While users can still search for positions using familiar methods, the new search tool goes further—grasping the nuances of their employment needs and surfacing job listings that match those criteria, even when exact keywords are not used.
Additionally, when companies post job openings on LinkedIn, the platform now displays the real-time status of each listing’s review process, enhancing transparency for applicants. Premium LinkedIn subscribers gain access to AI-powered tools that assist with interview preparation, simulating potential questions, and optimizing their job application materials.
With this integration of artificial intelligence, LinkedIn emphasizes that its purpose is not to encourage indiscriminate job applications, but rather to guide users toward roles that are genuinely well-suited to them—even helping to filter out positions that may not be the right fit.
