Nissan Canada company was hacked andleaked 1.13 million sensitive information

According to foreign media reports, Dongfeng Nissan (Canada) Company Systems suffered a hacker attack on December 11, resulting in about 1.13 million vehicle owners’ information leaks that had been made through the loan of financial services companies Dongfeng Nissan Canada Financial (NCF) and Infiniti (Canada) These include the customer’s name, address, vehicle make and model, vehicle identification number, credit score, loan amount and monthly payment.

The company said it has not yet ascertained the exact cause of the incident and the amount of data it leaks, but fortunately, it does not include payment data and contact details. However, NCF has taken steps and e-mailed all customers to be aware of information security. To apologize to the public, NCF has promised that he will provide customers free credit monitoring services through the TransUnion, one of the three major US credit reporting agencies, for one year.
