NVIDIA release CPU vulnerabilities patch for GeForce, Quadro, NVS, Tesla and GRID products
Ddos Today, Nvidia also released a patch for the Specter vulnerability today, which means the chipset vulnerability affects not only the CPU but also the GPU. Security researchers discovered two chipset vulnerabilities last week, “Meltdown” and “Specter,” that allow hackers to steal passwords or keys on a variety of devices, including computers, cell phones, and cloud servers.
Intel has said that its processor products are affected by both “Meltdown” and “Spectre” vulnerabilities, while AMD, ARM, and NVIDIA products are only affected by “Spectre” loopholes.
NVIDIA said today that its GeForce, Tesla, Grid, NVS and Quadro products are affected by CPU vulnerabilities.
On Monday, Apple released several patches for the “Spectre” vulnerability, including the iOS and macOS operating systems and Safari web browser, respectively. Apple also said that so far its users have not been affected by these two vulnerabilities, no hacker exploit attacks.
On Tuesday, Microsoft also released the corresponding patch. Microsoft also pointed out that the patch can reduce the speed of some PCs and servers, with the previous Intel chip system performance will be significantly reduced.
Intel, meanwhile, said it has released patches for the vast majority of processors manufactured in the past five years and more will be released. Intel also stressed that no hackers have been found to exploit these vulnerabilities to obtain user data.
