Google recently tested a new feature in the Android version of the Chrome browser. This feature allows the Chrome browser to automatically download articles without the user’s permission to enable offline reading.
Google announced this feature on the Google India blog last Thursday. Google said that this feature will promote in 100 countries and regions including Indonesia and Brazil, but whether it implemented in major economies such as the United States. It is still unknown.

This feature automatically downloads articles that the user may want to read based on the most popular content in the user’s location, or if the user logs in to the Chrome browser, Google will analyse the user’s browsing history and detailed download history to make the article offline for the user. However, this feature is still quite scary now, because users do not know whether their mobile data abused, nor can they control these offline articles.
Previously, Google Chrome browser Android has allowed users to download articles offline manually, but this new feature will be automatically turned on. Google does not say how long these articles will be stored, nor how much content a browser will download at once. Once there is no limit, the storage space of the phone may be significantly affected.
