Ddos Clement Lefebvre, head of the Linux Mint project, announced today that the upcoming development of the Linux Mint 19 “Tara” system had completed and the team is expected to release it later this week. However, Cinnamon, MATE and Xfce Editions have opened download links.

The Linux Mint 19 “Tara” is based on the Ubuntu 18.04 LTS (Bionic Beaver) system, equipped with the Linux Kernel 4.15 kernel and equipped with the latest Cinnamon 3.8, MATE 1.20 and Xfce 4.12 desktop environments. Same as Ubuntu 18.04 LTS, this version will continue to support for five years until April 2023.
Linux Mint 19 equipped with many new applications, including a system backup called TimeShift, a new welcome screen, better HiDPI support, improved multi-monitor support, a new default system theme, and an icon set called Mint-Y, Supports Microsoft fonts and supports formatting of USB devices to exFAT format.
