AV-TEST, an anti-virus testing organization, today announced the winner of the Best Security Solutions Awards 2017. Not surprisingly, the biggest winners of these awards, as well as those companies whose security products achieved the best results in protection, performance, and usability testing, have been the leading players in the antivirus industry for the past decade, namely Bitdefender, Kaspersky, and Symantec.

These tests included 21 security products for end users and 16 enterprise solutions for Windows, while on Android, AV-TEST evaluated 31 different applications. The best protection award for consumers was awarded to Bitdefender and Symantec, and the same two companies also received the title of corporate protection leaders. The organization stated that BitDefender Internet Security, BitDefender Endpoint Security, Symantec Norton Security, and Symantec Endpoint Protection have achieved remarkable results in the 2017 test.

The AV-TEST 2017 Best Performance Award was awarded to Bitdefender and Kaspersky Consumer and Enterprise products. AV-TEST explained that products from manufacturers Bitdefender and Kaspersky showed strong protection during the one-year testing period, and they used very little system resources.

Kaspersky’s consumer and enterprise products also received the 2017 Best Availability Award, while Russian security vendors and Bitdefender ranked first in repairing damaged systems. Finally, BitDefender Mobile Security and Symantec’s Norton Mobile Security products won the Most Secure Android Application Award for blocking malware and protecting mobile devices.
