According to a report from Bloomberg News, Apple is expected to unveil two to three new products this week, including a new iPad Pro, an updated version of the Vision Pro, and an entry-level 14-inch MacBook Pro — all anticipated to feature the company’s next-generation M5 processor.
The report suggests that Apple will announce these products through a press release and online updates, rather than holding a live event. The unveiling is expected to take place on Tuesday, U.S. time — likely corresponding to the evening of October 14 in Taiwan.
Earlier, a Russian YouTuber released an unboxing video that revealed the design and partial specifications of the new iPad Pro ahead of schedule. The device reportedly features the new M5 chip, increased base memory starting at 12 GB, and adjustments optimized for Apple Intelligence applications. While the overall design remains largely unchanged, the “iPad Pro” branding on the back of the chassis has been removed.
In terms of performance, Geekbench 6 benchmark results indicate that the M5 chip retains a nine-core CPU configuration (three high-performance cores and six efficiency cores). Compared to the M4, multi-core performance improves by approximately 12%, while GPU performance sees a dramatic 36% increase.
Previous rumors suggested that the new iPad Pro would feature dual front-facing cameras to provide more natural framing for both landscape and portrait video calls. However, this change was not observed in the leaked Russian video and remains unconfirmed pending Apple’s official announcement.
Another major highlight is the Vision Pro mixed-reality headset, which is expected to receive an M5 processor upgrade along with a new Dual Knit Band for improved comfort. A Space Black color option may also be introduced.
While earlier reports claimed that Vision Pro would incorporate a 2-nanometer R2 auxiliary chip from TSMC to enhance input processing performance, current supply chain information suggests that Apple’s transition to 2-nanometer silicon will not occur until the second half of 2026.
It remains unclear whether this update will be classified as a “second-generation Vision Pro.” Notably, earlier reports indicated that Apple had paused development of its lightweight “Vision Air” model to redirect resources toward developing smart glasses.
Apple also appears to be preparing an entry-level 14-inch MacBook Pro powered by the M5 chip, though its design will largely mirror that of the previous generation, representing a routine specification refresh. Models featuring the more advanced M5 Pro and M5 Max processors are expected to launch in early 2026 (spring), alongside a 16-inch variant.
A more substantial redesign is anticipated in the next two generations, where the MacBook Pro is expected to adopt OLED displays, a touchscreen interface, a thinner chassis, integrated cellular connectivity, and the 2-nanometer M6 processor.
Beyond these three headline products, Apple reportedly continues to plan updates for the Apple TV, HomePod mini, AirTag, and several early-2026 launches, including the entry-level iPad, iPad Air, Studio Display, MacBook Air, and the new iPhone 17e.
