Following the announcements from Google and Microsoft confirming the schedules for their annual developer conferences, Apple has likewise revealed that its Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2025 will take place from June 9 to 13, Pacific Time. As in recent years, the event will primarily be held online, though selected developers and students will have the opportunity to attend a special in-person gathering at Apple Park on opening day.
In keeping with tradition, WWDC 2025 will be free of charge and open to all developers. The conference will center on the latest advancements in Apple’s software ecosystem, including previews of iOS 19, iPadOS 19, watchOS 12, and macOS 16. Apple is also expected to unveil updated development tools, enabling creators to build new services and experiences across its platforms.
Developers and students will be able to stream keynote sessions and access the week-long agenda via the Apple Developer app, the Apple Developer website, or the Apple Developer YouTube channel.
This year’s program will include pre-recorded sessions as well as interactive online labs, offering developers a chance to engage directly with Apple engineers and designers. To celebrate the opening of WWDC, Apple will host an in-person experience on June 9, featuring live programming, opportunities for one-on-one or small-group consultations with Apple experts, and other exclusive events.
Continuing its commitment to nurturing the next generation of developers, Apple will once again spotlight young talent through the Swift Student Challenge. Participants accepted into this year’s program will be notified on March 27 and invited to the special on-campus experience. Among them, the creators of the top 50 submissions will be welcomed to Apple’s headquarters for an immersive three-day developer event.
The most anticipated element of WWDC 2025 will likely be the unveiling of a significantly enhanced version of Siri, signaling Apple’s strategy in the rapidly evolving landscape of AI-powered services. Additionally, speculation abounds regarding a major visual overhaul of Apple’s operating systems—potentially introducing a translucent, visionOS-inspired interface that could unify the user experience across devices.
