Google Chrome 67.0.3396.62 releases: fix 34 security bugs
Today, Google officially released the stable version of Chrome 67, which is currently open for download on Windows, Mac, and GNU/Linux platforms. In Chrome 67, Google continues to promote Site Isolation to improve the overall security performance of Chrome browsers and to reduce and protect users from security breaches.
“We’re continuing to roll out Site Isolation to a larger percentage of the stable population in Chrome 67. Site Isolation improves Chrome’s security and helps mitigate the risks posed by Spectre. To diagnose whether an issue is caused by Site Isolation, use chrome://flags#site-isolation-trial-opt-out as described here,” said Google’s Krishna Govind.
A total of 34 security vulnerabilities were fixed in the Chrome 67 stable release, covering the use-after-free attack and type confusion in the Blink engine, the Heap Buffer overflow in the two Skia graphics engines, and use-after-free in the indexedDB component.
