Google launche Google’s augmented reality SDK ARCore 1.0
VR Virtual Reality, AR Augmented Reality, MR Mixed Reality is the focus of all the giants in the industry today. Last year, Google released a preview version of the ARCore SDK software development kit to bring AR experiences to Android devices. Now, the official version of ARCore 1.0 comes along with a series of new support and tools.
Applications built using ARCore identify the user’s environment and present objects and information for both an enjoyable and fun experience.
ARCore operates on 100 million Android phones worldwide and currently supports 13 different handsets. Google is partnering with vendors such as Samsung, Huawei, LG, Motorola, Asus, Xiaomi, HMD/Nokia, ZTE, Sony, Armed with ARCore on the released phone.
Millet is the forefront of this event notice, millet will be one of the first handset manufacturers carrying ARCore, as well as Huawei, Samsung.
Developers can also distribute their AR applications through these handset vendors’ own app stores.
ARCore handsets, apps and related experiences will be available in the coming months.
In addition to supporting more devices, ARCore offers developers additional enhancements and support that make AR application development faster and easier.
ARCore 1.0 improves environmental understanding by placing virtual items on any textured surface such as posters, furniture, toy boxes, books, bottles and more.
The ARC Studio Beta Simulator also supports ARCore, developers can easily test the application in the computer’s virtual environment.
