Google has officially announced the general availability of its latest video generation models—Veo 3 and Veo 3 Fast—on the Vertex AI platform. Since its debut in May, Veo 3 has facilitated the creation of over 70 million AI-generated videos, and following its preview release in June, it has already attracted enterprise users to produce more than 6 million videos, underscoring the market’s growing demand for high-quality AI-driven video solutions.
Launched concurrently, Veo 3 and Veo 3 Fast offer tailored video creation solutions for varying production scenarios, empowering users to generate multiple video versions swiftly in response to dynamic market needs.
Veo 3 focuses on professional-grade production and narrative control, supporting 1080p high-definition output and incorporating native audio generation for precise lip-syncing and ambient sound effects—ideal for advertising, product showcases, and internal training content. In contrast, Veo 3 Fast is optimized for rapid generation and iteration, striking a balance between speed and visual fidelity, making it especially suitable for social media videos, marketing concept tests, and animated image workflows.
Google also previewed an upcoming feature set to arrive in August: image-to-video generation via the Vertex AI platform. Users will be able to generate short dynamic videos—approximately eight seconds long—simply by providing static images and brief text prompts, transforming existing visual assets into more compelling, engaging content.
Among early adopters, leading design platform Canva has integrated Veo 3 technology into its Canva AI suite, enabling users to produce social and marketing videos through an intuitive interface, while preserving both creative freedom and high audiovisual quality. Cameron Adams, Canva co-founder and Chief Product Officer, noted that Veo 3 allows users to translate their ideas into visual content more intuitively, with Canva Shield ensuring security and protection.
To strengthen enterprise-grade deployments, both Veo 3 and Veo 3 Fast are equipped with SynthID watermarking technology, embedding imperceptible digital signatures into each video to verify content authenticity and prevent misuse. These tools are also governed by Google’s Generative AI service terms, helping organizations responsibly scale their use of AI while maintaining risk controls.
Through its seamless integration with Vertex AI, the Veo series stands poised to become a cornerstone in enterprise AI video workflows—enhancing productivity, creative agility, and the development of globally resonant visual content, heralding a new era in generative media.
