Google has confirmed that this year’s Made by Google event will take place on August 20 at 1 PM Eastern Time, returning to New York City. The highly anticipated Pixel 10 lineup is expected to be unveiled, along with the new Pixel Watch 4 and updated Pixel Buds.
The invitation sent to media references “Pixel phones, watches, buds and more,” hinting that Google may introduce additional new products.
Rumors suggest that “Project Moohan,” a virtual-reality headset built on Android XR in collaboration with Samsung, may debut at the event—potentially including its official release date.
Leaks indicate that the Pixel 10 series will follow Google’s previous strategy: a standard model, a Pro, possibly a larger XL variant, and even a foldable version. The new models are rumored to feature TSMC-manufactured processors. The Pixel Watch 4 is expected to sport a slimmer casing and a longer battery life, while the Pixel Buds may be upgraded with active noise cancellation and spatial audio capabilities.
Another intriguing rumor is the launch of a new wireless-charging accessory called PixelSnap. Built to the Qi 2 standard and featuring magnetic alignment similar to Apple’s MagSafe, it’s likely to debut with a matching wireless charging stand and magnetic accessories.
If Google leads the charge in adopting Qi 2, it could catalyze broader industry uptake and stimulate innovation in accessories.
Finally, expect enhancements to Google’s generative-AI features, potentially deepening the integration of Gemini AI across Pixel devices and the Android ecosystem.
