Sony Mobile, one of the world’s smartphone makers, recently admitted to discontinuing it’s “my Xperia” remote tracking service. It is reported that the company did not announce any news before shutting down this service, the users that use Xperia intellectual mobile phone said that when visiting this procedure in the near future will be somehow redirected to Google’s website.
The “my Xperia” tracking service, similar to Google’s “Find my Device,” is an application where the phone is lost and positioned, which may be one of the reasons Sony Mobile decided to discontinue its service.
Sony officials said that if running my Xperia service, it will now be redirected to Google’s Find my Device.
This may be a good decision for Sony. Because after turning off the service, Sony can divert limited resources to other projects more useful to customers.
