OpenAI has officially shifted its subscription strategy into high gear, announcing the global rollout of ChatGPT Go. Priced at just $8 per month in the United States, the new tier marks a significant attempt to popularize high-end AI while introducing a new revenue model: integrated advertising.
Originally soft-launched in India in August 2025, the “Go” plan quickly expanded to 170 countries before today’s worldwide release. According to OpenAI, the plan has become their “fastest growing plan and among the most affordable AI subscription globally.”
