Ddos Recently, Canonical announced that Skype’s snap installation package of the world’s leading VoIP client, Skype, has come online, meaning that users can easily install and keep up to date on well-known Linux distributions such as Ubuntu and Linux Mint. In addition to Skype, Spotify is about to release the format installation package.

Jonáš Tajrych, a senior software engineer at Skype, said: “We want to be able to deliver the same high-quality experience on Linux as we do on other platforms. Snaps allow us to do just that, by giving us the ability to push the latest features straight to our users, no matter what device or distribution they happen to use.”
Snap is a secure, easy-to-install, sandboxed package format that lets developers publish their software update packs to users anytime without having to wait for the release update cycle.
