Claude Code is currently regarded as one of the most highly rated AI coding tools, enabling developers to run it directly within the terminal for tasks such as project design, codebase comprehension, bug fixing, and feature testing.
Although the tool is already available in the terminal and supported by IDEs like Microsoft Visual Studio Code and Cursor, it has not yet been directly accessible through a web browser.
A browser-based version would allow developers to code from anywhere at any time—reviewing task results, auditing code changes, previewing snippets, and even submitting or merging code—all of which could streamline the development workflow considerably.
Responding to this demand, Anthropic has begun developing a web-based edition of Claude Code. The current release is still in its research and testing phase, but interested developers can try it out here: https://Claude.ai/code. To launch the web version, users must first set up a repository, install the GitHub Claude application, and submit the Claude Dispatch workflow file, after which Claude Code can be used to perform a variety of project tasks.
It is worth noting that access to Claude Code requires a Claude Pro or Claude Max subscription. Usage quotas and reset policies are subject to limitations, and users are advised to carefully review the pricing details before subscribing.
