In March 2025, the renowned AI application Claude introduced support for web search, enabling the model to access real-time information from the internet. This enhancement helps prevent outdated or inaccurate responses caused by limitations in its training data. Initially, however, this feature was restricted to paid subscribers of plans such as Claude Pro.
Now, the application’s developer, Anthropic, has announced that web search capabilities have been extended to all users. Even those on the free tier can now use Claude AI to retrieve up-to-date information from the web. According to Anthropic, this addition allows the AI to provide more accurate responses based on the latest online content, and users are encouraged to explore the benefits of this newly accessible feature.
Alongside this update, Claude has begun testing a voice interaction mode on its mobile app. This feature allows users to engage in natural spoken conversations with Claude, representing an evolution of the existing voice dictation tools. Claude offers five distinct voice options to choose from, and at the conclusion of each conversation, it provides a complete transcript along with a summarized overview of the dialogue.
Users of Claude AI can visit the Google Play Store or Apple App Store to upgrade to the latest version. However, the voice mode remains in the testing phase and is currently available only in English and exclusively to paid subscribers such as those on Claude Pro. Anthropic has stated that it plans to expand this feature to all subscription tiers—including the free version—in the coming weeks.
